A free MS Paint alternative you can use online
If you miss the simple paint program from older versions of Windows, Classic Paint recreates that experience in any modern browser — on Windows, Mac, Linux or a Chromebook — for free.

Classic Paint keeps the layout that millions of people learned on: a two-column tool box on the left, the colour box along the bottom and a status bar showing the cursor position and selection size.
- All 16 classic tools: Free-Form Select, Select, Eraser/Color Eraser, Fill With Color, Pick Color, Magnifier, Pencil, Brush, Airbrush, Text, Line, Curve, Rectangle, Polygon, Ellipse and Rounded Rectangle.
- The tool options box with 12 brush shapes, 4 eraser sizes, 3 airbrush sizes, 5 line widths and 3 fill styles.
- Familiar menus and dialogs: Flip and Rotate, Stretch and Skew, Invert Colors, Attributes, Edit Colors and Save As.
- Hard-edged drawing with no anti-aliasing, so lines and shapes look exactly like they used to.
Works on any computer
Because it runs in the browser, Classic Paint works on computers that never had the original program — Macs, Chromebooks and Linux PCs — as well as on Windows. There is nothing to install: open the page and start drawing.
Your picture is saved in your browser automatically, so a refresh or a closed tab will not lose your work on that device. When you are done, File › Save As saves a 24-bit BMP, JPEG or PNG file.
